East Cocalito Township Stormwater Program
The Same Practices that Help Conserve Soil on Your Farm Also Help Protect Water Quality!
Link to Grants & Assistance Programs for Farms
Stormwater runoff from farming operations can, without proper conservation practices, contribute significant amounts of sediment and nutrient pollution (such as nitrogen and phosphorous) to our streams. There are a wide variety of conservation measures that can significantly reduce soil loss while at the same time protecting our streams.
Below are links to a few good websites providing details on agricultural practices that conserve soil and reduce stream pollution. In order to avoid duplicating effort, we won’t go into detail here. If you know of other sites that should be linked, please let us know.
