East Cocalico Township is one of the northeastern townships of Lancaster County. It was divided from Cocalico Township on May 8, 1838, along with West Cocalico and Ephrata Townships. Irregularly shaped, it has a combination of mountains, abundant water, and limestone soils, which were of prime importance in the early development of the Township.
